Comments:
This top is great because it's the 320 weight wool which is heavier than the 260 and more like an outer sweater than a middle layer. I love the two colors I got (the blue and the green), but I will agree with the previous reviewer that there are some odd flaps under the arms which do stick out in a small way. On the green top, this issue is disconcerting to me (but not too huge a deal, because I'm going to keep it because I think I got the last green one in stock and the color is beautiful) and on the blue top the extra fabric under the arms is thankfully not so noticable. It's not a big deal - I think that Icebreaker tops have fit me so well in the past that I have high expectations now. One thing about this top is that the middle and bottom of the top is constructed in/inherently has a more structured fashion (probably due to the heavier material) and instead of draping softly around my waist and hips like the 260 fabric does (which seems to be more forgiving of love handle issues), this top kind of sits there on my hips with its own structure, not draping, and therefore it shows more obviously a little tummy pooch that I have. If you want to use this for layering, I'd say to order a size up. The small size was a bit smaller than I expected it to be, and I will not be able to wear anything underneath it (but I don't necessarily do much layering anyway, so I don't mind).

great top but slightly odd cut
By kaneactVerified Reviewer from Bryson City. NC on 01/18/2009
Pros:
Comfortable, Lightweight, Snug Fit, Warm
Cons:
Extra fabric behind armpi
Best Uses:
Backpacking, Cold Weather, Cycling, Layering, Running, Snow Sports
Describe Yourself:
Conditioning Exerciser
Fit:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
It is replacing another icebreaker that was burned. Love the feel, weight, color, and the cut in general but there is an odd panel behind the armpit that billows out a bit, particularly if your aren't large busted. It isn't a defect as it is obviously an added feature. Does give you lots of arm movement freedom without any binding. Not sure whether it will bother me as time goes by.
