By Steve from Florissant, CO on 07/06/2009 Pros: A snap to keep clean, Use it all the time and Best Uses: Fishing, Outside work hiking Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Best darn hat you ever owned
By Seaside Dave from Cape May Court House, N.J. on 07/04/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hat has a stiff brim so it does not flap all over when I am on the water paddling my kayak.
It looks nice in the brush or about town and it has kept it's shape nicely.
I keep money in the hidden compartment for emergencies. I have washed it in a mountain spring and under a faucet with soap and it is fine. Quick drying. Best hat I have ever owned.
By Jason from Chicago, IL on 07/03/2009 Pros: Good Fit, Good material Best Uses: Outside activities Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: GREAT quality and beyond expectations. Hat is SLIGHTLY snug but that works well for me. Seems true to size.
Everybody in my family has one now! By Grandma the Horse Junkie from Austin Texas on 07/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Ventilated Best Uses: Anything outdoors Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's great to have sun protection in a comfy hat. We aren't big (chemical) sunblock users, so these hats are a great solution. My husband has been seen even wearing his in the house, which really looks funny, chin strap and all, but I think he forgets he has it on. Be sure to take the time to measure for size, and they do stay on in the wind.
By Sally from Pennsylvania on 06/30/2009 Pros: Cool and comfortable, Great price, Looks great Best Uses: Gardening, Travel Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've always wanted a Tilly but it was too expensive. This particular model really looks smart and I don't usually like the way I look in hats! Comfortable, too.
By ursinho from sunnyvale, ca on 06/30/2009 Pros: Solid sun protection, Wide brim Cons: Too warm produces sweat Best Uses: Trying to figure that out Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This hat is long on words (lots of self-promoting) and very mediocre. Tilley is about hype! I wish I had purchased a much cheaper sun hat, one that is lighter and will not keep my head so sweaty. It's like a sauna under this hat! Even out of the sun, the interior band is so warm and cushiony that there is always sweat there. Quite unpleasant. My Borsalino sun hat doesn't do that too me (unfortunately, the brim on my Italian beauty is a bit small for maximum sun protection)
Gave as gift then had to have my own! By Catchum from Santa Fe, NM on 06/29/2009 Pros: Brim-good sun protection, Stays on in strong winds Cons: Lanyard a little short Best Uses: Great flyfishing hat Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Green under-brim helps with seeing fish. Lanyard system keeps hat on in strong winds. Lanyard short on large head.
By SCKayaker from South Carolina on 06/28/2009 Pros: Best price, Fits perfect, Great quality Best Uses: Perfect sun protection Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second Tilley hat. They really hold up to a lot of physical (sweat) usage.
By LA Fundraiser from Los Angeles, CA on 06/26/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Since I purchased this hat it has replaced all other hats. Great fit, classic look and excellent sun protection.
Very comfortable and cool By Willy the Worker from Springfield, OR on 06/26/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So light and comfortable you don't hardly even know its on your head!
