By Needs To Be Warm from Santa Barbara Ca. on 06/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Anytime, Baselayer, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been wearing this shirt in Ca. most mornings when the fog is in. Expect to get a lot of use as a baselayer in the winter.I have been wearing it as a regular shirt also. Love the color and quality.Need to choose pants carefully to go with it, as the bottom of shirt is tight and shows any bulges easily.
By Trix from Utah on 05/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I LOVE this shirt. It's still pricey, but well worth it. Soft and comfortable while staying breathable in a summer wool. My new favorite.
By Nashville hiker from Nashville on 05/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the long length of this shirt. It won't be riding up my back. The color is vivid. The neck binding is stretchy and made to lie flat unlike a tee-shirt. Soft next to skin.
You can't go wrong with IB! By Wanna Be Kiwi from Denver, CO on 05/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Anytime, Cold Weather, Running Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: With this particular shift I feel its a bit too roomy under the arms, but still great base layer. I lived in New Zealand for years & fell in love with Icebreaker. Reliable product, high quality, will last a long time. Great for multi-day adventures because it doesn't hold odor like other base layers/adventure wear. STP offers some of the best prices around on IB...I will continue to stock up!!

True to size, but a snug true-to-size. By meanjean from Brooklyn, NY on 04/27/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this to layer underneath my ski jacket (possibly combining it with a lighter weight Icebreaker during colder days.)
I'm used to the looser fit of brands like Patagonia, Athleta, even SmartWool...in all American athletic brands, I am a solid small (5'8", 127--broad-shouldered, but slim.) However, I was surprised to put this on and find that, pre-washing, it fits very snugly, close to skin-tight. In fact, it's so snug, it's a bit uncomfortable at first...however, I don't think I would be able to layer anything more than a lightweight underneath this.
So, if you are straddling 2 sizes, go for the larger size unless you like snug-fitting.
Other than that issue, I think the Icebreakers I purchased are great--lightweight, and do the job of keeping in warmth while being breathable.
Happy to finally own some Icebreaker By Lil bit of everything from Oregon on 04/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Feels wonderful, finally a functional layer that's long enough to cover my mid section, no more breezes. Washes up great. Nice base layer. My first Icebreaker purchase, am now a fan and will keep my eye out for more.
