Very thin - not real soft shell By Rain or Shine from Columbia Missouri on 11/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These are comfortable except the waist. If you tighten the belt you will be doing that all day because they are slippery - have to tuck in thick shirt to keep them up. Not windproof or all that warm unless you are wearing wool long johns underneath. Nice for fall at the dogpark because they clean easily and repel water. Good pockets don't expect the zippers to hold up. Disappointed because I needed winter pants, not fall or spring. Am keeping because legs are stretchy and work well over leggings.

Use them in SAR. Fabric durable enough for the toughest hikes.
By Northern Girl from Michigan on 11/01/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Camping, Hiking, Running, Snow sports Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are awesome! The fit is true-to-size in the hips, and were a little loose in the waist. There is an attached web belt, however, and that fixed the fit issue. There are plenty of zippers, a gaiter on the bottom that will keep snow out, and the fabric is oh-so-comfy! I am wearing them at the moment after chasing the dog around in a field and don't want to take them off. Worn with an underlayer for snowy days, these will definitely be a keeper.

I recently used these as a second outer layer when mountain fishing in cold windy conditions. Comfortable and warm!

Great Pants for Outdoor Activities By Woozles&Wizzles from New York, NY on 10/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are very flattering and have good quality construction. They are stretchable yet of a heavier material than regular hiking pants. I haven't had the chance to wear them yet as the weather hasn't been cold enough, but I can tell that they will be perfect for outdoor pursuits in the winter like snowshoeing, hiking and xc skiing.

By MsAnnaNOLA from New Orleans, LA on 10/13/2009 Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these to try with other waterproof pants. These were strange. I think they are meant to be fitted, but if you are not the exact shape and size of the pant, it ends up looking strange. Like a weird baggy second skin. Not flattering unless you are super ripped and the pants are tight. (at least in my mind's eye.)
By Alaska Mom from Homer, Alaska on 09/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Run a bit big in the waist. Had to return for a smaller size, but found a perfect fit. They are very comfortable and I find myself wearing them for much more than hiking. They are my casual weekend and after work, go anywhere pants! I'm nearly 5'8" so the I appreciate the longer length which is hard to find.
