It does a great job of blocking the wind without being too warm. I use it alone for running in temps around 40 - 50 degrees or so. Perfect!!!
By ColoMtn from Grand Junction CO on 10/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Cool fall days, Cycling, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wow, this is one great pullover. It truly blocks the wind. I've been wearing it to hike, cycle, walk, and read outside. The arms a bit long, I ordered a small and they are at least 3 inches over my wrist (but I just fold them up). But overall awesome, can't wait to try it crosscountry skiing!
By cats meow from Alaska on 09/28/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I returned this because of the fit. The sleeves were too long and the fabric bunched up around my armpits/shoulders.
Sharp looking when it wasn't on me! Wonderful, lightweight fabric.
By Owned by Pointers from Oakland, CA on 08/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cycling, Golf, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a closet full of Mountain Hardware. Once I found the right fit with MH stuff, I just kept adding more and more. Realizing I wear my other Transition Pullover as much as I do it was time to add a second color. I use mine for golf, hiking, daily dog walks, and even cycling. Fit is great, awesome mobility, and it really blocks the wind. Drawback is complete lack of pockets. I carry more than an IPOD so I want pockets.

Ordered one for myself and one for a friend--glad I did.

I have a lot of mountain hardware and this is one of my favorites. The color is incredible, the cut is slim, flattering but still allows a light layer underneath. I have run and worn in an outdoor-casual settings and it is great. Ideal for hiking or other activities on fall/spring days. I've also layered it successfully this winter. LOVE IT.
