By Colorado Peak Bagger from Granby on 07/20/2009 Pros: Easy To Load, Good Padding Cons: Bulky, Restricts Movement Best Uses: Day Hikes, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really wanted to like this backpack--I did love the way the zippers came all the down for easy loading, and how the handle on the front would make it easy to grab (if you shove it in an overhead compartment on a plane), and it certainly seems well made--but the only problem was the stiff straps that dug into my neck. I tried adjusting it many different ways, but they're just so close together and shaped funny that they just rubbed and rubbed and I had to return it. Maybe a different size would have helped, [...]
By Trouble from North AL on 06/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load Best Uses: Day Hikes, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my go-to pack. I've used it on vacations, backpacking trips, and baby-gear hauling day trips. If I'm going somewhere and I might need a pack, this is the one I take. It's very solid, with huge zippers for easy access.
It's large enough to carry a few days worth of essential, minimal backpacking gear. Definitely not meant to be loaded heavily; I've carried 25 pounds or so comfortably for many, many miles.

By CLF from Memphis, TN on 05/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack is the perfect size, capacity, and weight for airline carry-on. Enough room to carry essentials and then some. Handle on the front of the pack provides good accessibility when going through airport security. Straps are well-padded and provides easy, comfortable, secure carrying when on the run through the terminal. The price was great! I will also use for day hikes and trips.
By renzo from Albuquerque NM on 04/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Lightweight Best Uses: Extended Hikes, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This a very well made day pack for long hikes. The lack of extra straps makes it good for bushwhacking. The simplicity also makes it a good travel pack for shorter trips.
By hawaii hiker from hawaii on 03/26/2009 Pros: Easy To Load, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: i bought this product to take a 10mile day hike then camp for two days and return another ten miles. the bag is rather small its just a little larger than a regular "school pack".. the shoulder pads are thick not the thin flexible kind like the large packs ive seen have, and waist belt has NO padding... just nylon. Not what i expected but still nice for light hiking for just a day... very nice looking pack with great access with zippers that come down real far.

By liblil from Jackson Hole, WY on 01/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Lightweight Best Uses: Day Hikes, Light Loads, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first pack and I love it. I am not strong enough (yet) to manage the weight of a really giant pack filled with stuff, and this mid-sized pack was well-sized for me (female, 5'6"). I'd take it camping, hiking, etc, you could fit days worth of clothes and other things in there. It is really comfortable, extremely light, great pockets, etc. I wouldn't use this for extremely heavy loads, but it's a great pack for someone like me who is getting started and can't really manage a giant pack anyway. Anyone else who wants to travel light but be able to carry a fair bit would like this, too. And, of course, it's high quality like you'd expect from Mountain Hardwear.
