Fits this Plump Lady! Yeah! By Prairie Gal from NW Iowa on 11/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Admittedly, this will be a very user specific review, BUT if you are a plus-sized woman of normal height, these wonderful, warm, comfortable pants may, indeed, work for you! I am 5'4" tall, and--although I have fairly small thighs and calves--have to wear a size 22 in most leggings and pants, because of the barrel I carry around my belly...(note to new moms: LOSE THE WEIGHT while you're young! I didn't..) I despaired of every finding a good pair of warm snow pants for our cold Iowa winters: everything was either too tight around my waist, or my legs just swam in them, or they flopped around on the floor, too long.
Well! Although I fail to see how the 2xl Black Diamond power stretch pants could fit a large male, they fit this somewhat dumpy female nearly perfectly: the legs stop right below my ankles, the thighs and calves are skin-tight but NOT constrictive, and I was able to pull them up to my waist, over my "bowl full of jelly" without a single stitch popping out of the waistband--and it doesn't hurt, either!
So, you are an apple shape, and not yet IN shape, you still deserve to be warm and happy this winter, and you can't find a better deal than these wonderful polartec leggings. By the way, the smooth, nylon outer layer is cat-hair resistant, as well. I know this because I dropped my pair on the hairy carpet ("Oh, no. Get out the clothes brush!") only to discover that the few hairs they picked up brushed right off. Yay!

But I feel size to small. You should choose the bigger one size.I (173cm, 70Kg) usually wear a suitable number M, but it must choose the L.

By Mauve123 from Long Island, NY on 11/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Cons: Bags around knees, Forms Piles, Unable to iron Best Uses: Cold Weather, Everyday Wear, Hiking, Running, Travel Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have 15 pairs of these tights and I just ordered 5 more! I absolutey love them! The only con which I hope they improve someday soon, is that it does tend to pile after 2-3 wears and does indeed form bags around the knees. It states not to iron, however if you don't, you have bags around the knees and the leg seam doesn't stay in place. If you iron, however, the outer and inner material starts to wear and tear - forcing you to buy more.
By EMT Rachel from Claremont, NH on 11/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Today is my first day wearing these tights; I'm using them as a base layer at a Wilderness training course that involves being outdoors a lot. Can't say they made me feel hot, but they sure are cozy and very welcome on a day like today, which maybe made it into the 50s. I wasn't very active today, so I think they would have felt warmer if I hadn't been mostly sitting/standing. Very pleased with the size; I was nervous because I have big hips, but at 5'2" and 126 pounds, the medium size is perfect. Waist is at a comfortable height, too.
These will make winter less unbearable! By Certain of what I do not see from Central PA on 11/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Really REALLY Warm, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These will be what's needed when it's REALLY cold out, but I REALLY need to go out and shovel snow, anyway. I'll pull on something over them to break the wind, and ... I'm expecting to stay warm. Having tried these on and worn them around the house for awhile, the other day, I have no doubt they'll do the trick. For as snug as they are, they're VERY comfortable!

I live in them. But I had to reorder twice because thesee were way too big at xxlarge and way too small at large. I am a size 12 woman.

By trail voulcher from PA on 09/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just as nice at the more expansive brands that use powerstretch. I own a popluar name brand that I paid over $80 for...I bought a pair of the black diamond for my wife and they are everybit as nice. However, order a size larger because they do run small.
