Fantastic Tights for tall women By toe-by-toe from Manhattan, New York on 01/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Everyday Wear, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a 5 foot 8 inches tall, woman. I read previous reviews and strongly debated whether to buy this item as I also have fat calves and am a typical pear shape (size 8 or 10). I ordered two pairs in large. I could not be happier with my purchase. I live in Manhattan and we have recently experienced temperatures in the low and mid twenties. I felt no cold while wearing these tights with a knee length skirt. I have washed them a couple of times without issue and I have not experienced the faulty waistbands that other purchasers have. I strongly recommend this product and can't wait to try them during my skiing sessions.
By Ski geek from SE Idaho on 01/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The PowerStretch is great, great cut, feel, and performance. However, the stitching in the waist doesn't stretch. The stitching broke loose and has been falling apart since the first time I put them on (and yes, they do fit nicely otherwise). I will restitch them with a better thread and will be loving them.
By turquoisegrrl from MD on 01/22/2009 Cons: Waist stitiching ravelled Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The stitching at the waist started coming undone the first time I pulled them up. BUT they are super warm! Quite tight, though: I wear a womens size 8 & the mediums are definitely second skin.
I will keep them because they are so warm.
perfect for outdoor winter marathons By Paula in Boston 09 from Johnson city, N.Y. on 01/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Running Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these tights during cold weather training runs. There is nothing else available that works as well. Usually an outer shell is unnecesary as they are warm down to zero.
By River rambler from Concord, MA on 01/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking, Running, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fantastic. First long underwear I've had that doesn't bind or constrict under clothing. Fits like a glove and is infinitely flexible in knees and crotch. Warm and soft on inside, silky on the outside so it slides freely against clothing. Worth the price!
By calgopgal from Washington, DC on 01/09/2009 Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The size guide says that women should order one size smaller. Well, being that I like things to be on the comfortable side, i ordered large (the size I would normally buy) and they are way too small. I would say that the large is more like a men's small/medium. The waist doesn't stretch at all. Also the length is only about 28 inches long. Which is way too short for me (I am 5'9"). I can't speak to the warmth, etc of the pants since I wasn't able to walk in them, but they look like they would be warm.
Cheers.
By Cold Runner from Wisconsin on 01/07/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Running Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased to wear on cold morning runs. Nice product - made in the USA - but fits small. I broke a stitch in the waist when I first put them on. I ordered a large as I'm a 33 to 34 waist but needed an extra large. Other than that this is a nice product.
By Ski Bum from Minneapolis, MN on 01/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these as base layer for alpine skiing. They are tremendously warm, even in sub zero Minnesota weather. They have a snug fit. Men should buy them one size larger than usual. My wife has a pair that is true fit for women's sizing. Only complaint is the stitching on the waist band on my wife's pair unraveled after first use.

Good stuff.
