Well-made, durable, versatile shorts By Mooker from upstate NY on 05/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Running/Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Too old for huge, wrinkled, baggy shorts with 18 pockets? These are the ones for you. Well-made, light, and very versatile. I only wish Sierra had them in more colors. Also, they do seem to run a little small, so order one waist size up.
By Mr raDius from CO on 05/11/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I would consider myself fairly fit and thin, but these shorts are cut way too tight/small. I had to return them.
By jtdmar from Santa Barbara, Ca. on 05/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Running/Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The front pockets don't allow much room for things. I do like the utility pocket for my cell phone. The rear velcro pockets are a nice feature. For the most part these are comfortable shorts and appear to be of durable construct.
Fast moving Shorts Light weight By Blue-Tracker from Denmark on 04/06/2009 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Backpacking, Running/Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shorts is a little bit shorter then expected and the same on the waist, but excellent quality.
Surprisingly disappointed By Dusty the pilot from Doylestown, PA on 04/06/2009 Pros: Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Washes Well Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice shorts but, the rise is too short and does not provide enough room for active comfort. Also, the waist is a true 32 but, the cut of the shorts make them very snug in the hips and the thighs. I have other Mountain Hardwear shorts that I am very happy with in terms of fit and size but, these do not make the grade. They look good but, the fit is wrong for comfortable shorts.
By Gatorguy from Maryland on 03/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you order this short, MAKE SURE YOU ORDER ONE SIZE LARGER then normal. This is a good casual short, but not sure it would be an ideal choice for really hiking, camping, and other outdoor things. I wear them to work and they are perfect.
By Maynard from Omaha, NE on 03/12/2009 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching Cons: Small in hips and waist Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have two other pair of shorts for MH and bought these shorts to go along with the others. I tried them on though and they were too small in the waist and hips. So I had to send them back. I guess they were made at a different shop or plant than the other two MH shorts I have and like to wear.
