decent product for the price By stay out of the snow drifts from southeast Idaho on 01/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Warm, Waterproof Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Boots are about a half size bigger than ordered, but that's perfect since it allows me to wear a pair or two of thick socks w/o feeling cramped for space. The only padding between my foot and the rubber bottom is the 3/8 inch thick felt liner, which doesn't have a lot of give to it. But the boot has enough depth to it that I could easily slip in a padded insole I purchased that works great.

Good gear makes all the difference.

There is no foot support and therefore they are not comfortable for long hikes, particularly in hilly and rocky terrain. I suggest inserting a felt insole for additional insulation and foot support in addition to the full boot liner.
