I use these on my usual brisk 6.8 mile walking trek which I alternate with a moderate Nautilus work out. Thus far I have made 5 morning trips and have continued to wear them for the balance of the day. They fit well with minimal "new shoe" discomfort. They provide a distinctly different walking experience which I found enjoyable, but I cannot say that the workout was distinctly better than the one I was getting using from my regular walking shoes. At twice the price of other upper-end shoes the MBTs are hard to recommend to the value oriented but nice for those wanting a change.

The instep was too shollow also. But the design was great. When and if they make a wider show I will be very interested.

He was having problems with his feet though due to them being so flat (even had corrective surgery). His Dr. recommended them and I was skeptical to spend that much money on shoes for my 15 yr old - especially ones that were described as "pretty ugly". I purchased them since his Dr. recommended them, my son put them on....Wow! he loved them! He wears them everyday, his feet/ankles aren't hurting AND, he and his friends think MBTs are "sooo cool". I never would have imagined....

It was a little bouncy at first, wore them for 2 hours with no problems.
They are very comfortable and not really that heavy for me.
