In our mutual ignorance, we failed to pre-load it and make the myriad adjustments that were required for her body type. As a result, her first trip, a summit, was absolutely miserable! Once at camp, however, I went about the intricate task of disassembling the pack (man, it's like a rubic's cube for adjustments!) and made it very right for her for her descent. She began hating the thing and ended up excited about our next trip!
Great multi-function backpack By Soggyfritter from Sonoma County, CA on 04/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Large Capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Extended Hikes, Heavy Loads, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really liked this backpack, loads and loads of storage. Sometimes the sheer amount of pockets is overwhelming.
However: frame adjustment takes some doing, and the straps seem to go everywhere and nowhere all at once. Rather confusing after a long hard hike.
Overall, however, I'm glad I got it.
I use it for multi-day backpacking, car camping, and I'm planning on taking it to Eastern Europe!
