By Wyoming Horsewoman from Wyoming on 10/30/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Outdoorswear, Versatile Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Huntingoutdoor work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like Carhartt products, and wasn't disappointed with buying this jacket. The dark brown color is attractive, the jacket is warm, and I am a size 6 so it fits well. It is rather bulky but, washing it a few times, I'm sure will loosen it up. The heaviness helps with the sherpa-lining warmth so, I'm mostly very satisfied with the jacket.

It's too bulky for physical activity.

By JSpence from West Des Moines IA on 10/20/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Cut, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very warm and comfortable, wish that it came with a hood, though the coat does have the snaps in the back to add one. A little long if you are below average hight, but all around another excellent product from Carhart at a great price through Sierra Trading Post!
By loves the outdoors from Monument, Colorado on 10/18/2009 Pros: Durable, Love all the pockets, Warm Cons: Animal Hair Magnet, Bulky, Stiff Best Uses: Bad Weather, Dog walking, Horse Chores Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a pet sitter here in Colorado. I wanted this jacket so I could layer underneath for our famous bone chilling wind and cold while I walk dogs and clean corrals & stalls. It will be perect for these chores, but it is very stiff and bulky. I hope it gets as soft and supple as the description said it should be already.
By ADC14 from Ann Arbor, MI on 10/15/2009 Pros: Versatile, Well Made Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had to return this jacket because it was too tight in the shoulders. The pleating on the back does not allow for full range of motion of the arms. This may have been a defect. Contrary to some reviews, I think Carhartt runs small in their womens line(I have two of their hoodies). I usually wear a medium coat, but the large fit better (except around the shoulders). I think the company is designing for smallish women.
