Bought them for dress pants, but will also wear them to the office. The fabric, workmanship and details are very high quality. They are too long and will have to be shortened, but I like having the option of making the length perfect.
By juniormint from oregon on 09/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Stylish, Versatile Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice pants. I usually wear between and 6 and an 8. This time the 6 fit perfectly. I have size 8 Atelier pants as well... go figure.
I ordered the matching jacket and it makes a very nice suit. If they had more pants in other colors I would buy them. They are very flattering.
Accurate product description but........ By eastern shore shopper from Maryland on 07/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High Quality Best Uses: Night Out, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are obviously high quality. But I'm short and the legs are so wide that if I hemmed them up, I would look really stocky. They would probably be great for someone tall or for someone of medium height with proportionately heavy legs.
By Style & comfort from Kalamazoo, MI on 06/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Night Out, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Classic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants dressy enough for a blazer. They do run generous. I usually wear a size 8, but in these I needed sz 6.
Sizing deceptive--in a flattering way! By Lazy shopper from Colorado Springs, CO on 04/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the pants but it took 3 tries. I normally wear a size 10 and after returning that size and a size 8 have kept the size 6! I did need to shorten them--I'm 5' 6"--but I love the feel of the fabric and am glad I persisted in exchanging them.
By SD Writer from San Diego, CA on 03/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Night Out, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Eclectic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Another great buy from Sierra! The fabric is great - high quality with a wonderful drape. I will need to have these hemmed (as I awlays do being a short person) and may even do a little tailoring at the waist, but at this price these pants are a great bargain. A wonderful staple for the office that could easy work for a night out too. These are a great pair of basic black pants.
By country San from Western NY on 03/18/2009 Pros: Flattering, High Quality, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are well made from a nice fabric. I wish they were lined. I'm usually a size 6 and these are way too big through the waist. I'm going to try a size 4 and hope they aren't too tight through the hips.
Fantastic quality but extremely long By dkg from Seattle on 02/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Career, Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these pants, but the length is ridiculously long. If you don't mind hemming these pants or prefer the long length, you can't go wrong. As usual, Atelier is very high quality and chic. Fantastic for the office and a very unusal charcoal color--very rich and almost black.
Seems good quality, but sizing is off By Academic researcher from Central Pennsylvania on 02/01/2009 Pros: High Quality, Stylish Describe Yourself: Career, Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants are low-rise (about 9 inches), not "at the natural waist". Even with the low rise, the pants' waist measurement of 32 inches for a size 4 is much too big; in addition, the inseam is more than 33 inches. The charcoal color is very dark, closer to off-black than dark gray. The pants are good quality and would work well as career wear for someone that fit in them.
