This was an odd purchase for me since the sleeves could be considered trendy. They also allow for layering with a lightweight long sleeved top for wearing all 4 seasons, which is very practical. I bought a small & a medium since I've found Cullen's fit to be totally unpredictable. I could have worn either, but decided to go with the roomier medium so that I could layer comfortably and because I like "loose" more than "snug". I almost bought the small because the pleated waist area hit me right on the ab area making it a bit sexy, but my husband liked the longer fit of the medium, which allows the pleated area to bunch up around the ab area on its own. It is extremely comfortable; the arm hole cut allowing for air venting that prevents it from sticking to the underarm on really hot days. I found a chunky crayon colored necklace bought in 1969 during my "hippie" college days that is a clone of the current fashion for clunky costume jewelry, wore it with a pair of straight legged jeans, and looked 20 years younger instantly. I was asked by several strangers where I bought the "cool" top (as well as my antique necklace). I don't understand the negative reviews for this top. I air dry my clothing; this does not need to be ironed because it is a knit. The snaps make for a quick on/off. The cut is both contemporary, but also timeless. If you like to layer, it is perfect for wearing over a winter top. There are no "cons" in my book for this top & encourage buyers to snap it up. The first time I wore it it rose to the top of my favorite "go to" tops. If I had to downsize to what I could pack in one suitcase, this top would be packed. What more can I say?

By Airhead from Santa Fe, NM on 07/22/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I couldn't imagine where I would wear this, so I sent it back. The snaps and the look were just not me. Also, I'm a bit busty, and it added bulk to the chest.

The cut is very becoming if you like a style that emphasizes curves.
