By Joe the casual runner from Evergreen, CO on 05/06/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are simply amazing. It's hard for me to find running shoes that support my arch and help my feet to hit the pavement properly. These shoes do it like none other. They are light, fit well, seem like they will last for some time, and make running enjoyable not uncomfortable. I'm a casual runner and am already running longer in these shoes than the ones they replaced. I ordered my regular size and the fit was great, not sure why it's recommended to order a larger size.

They are probably built for stability as they have no discernible heel, just a flat sole. They feel okay though.

Saucony, Please Continue The Shadow 11 By Kris The Old Lady Runner from Pittsfield, MA on 04/11/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Available in Wide, Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Stable, Wide sole base cushioning Best Uses: Down Hill SupportCushion, Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been running for 34 years. I have always used the Saucony Shadow and Saucony Grid Shadow series. The Grid Shadow 11 is great cushioning for older runners with more delicate knees and hips. The Shadow 11 also keeps foot position stable with its wide sole base; available in Wide widths for larger toe box to prevent toe/toenail problems. Great shoe for runs of an hour or more in comfort, with no aches the next day. The Shadow series and Shadow 11 features have allowed me to continue running for years, through 10K and 10 mile races, marathons, and now at at 65, jogging runs! Hope the Saucony Grid Shadow series continues!!
