Returned, wanted a neutral cushion shoe By Stepmc10 from Millington, Tn on 05/13/2009 Pros: Cushioning seemed good Cons: Too much of a stability Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I did not need the amount of support these shoes provided so I returned them. I have a neutral foot and these, to me, were more of a stability shoe.
By Boston-Bound Brenda from Dade City, FL on 05/12/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible, Stable Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: True to The Saucony Tradition as Producers of Great Running Shoes. Ideally suited as Trainers for Distances of 5K and over. My own pair will be part of my Marathon Training for the next several months. From the moment I put them on my feet they felt GREAT! Ahhhh!
By Chester from Salt Lake City on 05/12/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have high arches and also get knee pains sometimes. These shoes are excellent for both. I wish there were not quite as wide, but overall I like them very much.
By runswithdoggies from riverside, ca on 05/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Good Traction Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i am a high arched forefoot striker who supinates/underpronates. my favorite shoes have been the shadow 8s...i stockpiled a couple dozen prs, and have run in them since 04---9 marathons and hundreds of long runs, trail and pvmt. i *wanted* to love these shoes, esp after all the glowing reviews, but....as soon as i put them on, i knew they were a different fit from the shadow 8s. i could feel the arch support pushing into the area between the heel and arch. but i wanted to love them, bc someday i will run out of shadow 8s. well, they are a completely different ride, and after a few runs of 6-12 mi, i have developed a pretty bad case of plantar fascitis which i am now nursing. i have been a longtime saucony fan, but i am a bit stunned at how they have totally redesigned the footbed/last. back to the shadow 8s for now.....
By robinr from ny on 05/04/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm on my 5th pair of these. They wear well and are perfect from gym cross training. They are a bit narrower than other gym shoes but I like that.
I just wish they'd stop tying the laces in wacky ways when they ship the shoes. I unlace and redo in a more traditional fashion.
By chem prof from Ohio on 05/04/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Shoe fits well. I ordered a half size up from normal (per other reviews) and it fit well. Nice for wide feet (order wide width) with wide toe area and narrow heel. Very good for a high arch, nice support for running.
great pair of shoes - I would buy again By Betty Brown from Hendersonville, TN 37075 on 04/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: nothing else to add
By CL from Venice, FL on 04/28/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was wearing the Saucony PROGRID - thought these would fit similar however this model is narrow in toe box and does not have as much cushioning as the PROGRID. Also the seams in the toe area are noticeable. Would stick with the PROGRID next time.
