I would have exchanged them for the larger size if the soles didn't look like they were made of hard plastic/rubber. For $40, I would have stuck with them, for [$], I wanted something else. I imagine they would be comfortable, but I wanted something that looked a little more solid for my money.

They are so comfortable. Unfortunately, I ordered the black shoes, but they look brown rather than black, so I'll have to return them.

I normally wear a size 8/39; this shoes however is too wide.

First off, I'd agree with the other reviews...don't got up a 1/2 size! Order the size you wear and you'll be fine. I haven't broken these in yet, but I think they'll be comfy. My old ones didn't have as high (if you call it high) a heel, which I think I like better. These have a bit of a heel such that I feel like I might slip forward a bit, but I think when they're broken in that won't be an issue. Not a "clog" in the sense that they're not on a "platform" like a traditional clog is, more like a traditional slip on. The ease of the slip on and the cushy sole will make these my go to casual shoe.

Unfortunately, they don't make a size larger. Normally, 11s fit me just great; in fact sometimes I'm a 10.5, but these shoes in size 11 did NOT come even close to fitting comfortably. If you can find the correct size, this is a great-looking comfort clog.

Love how they look. One problem I'm having is that there's just a bit too much volume if I wear thin socks. So thicker socks, or an little insert are needed for my feet, but otherwise, they are really super-lovely and look they will hold up for a long time.

As another reviewer said some of the seams were rubbing on my foot and might have caused a blister if I'd worn them for any length of time, which I didn't because I am returning them.
Great looking but hard to break in. But after I wore them a couple of hours I had a raw spot on my left foot just below the ankle and my toes were hurting from bumping against the tip of the shoe (even though they were slightly large on me). The second time I wore them, though, they were more comfortable. I expect they'll continue to get better with time. They look really good with slacks, streamlined and not clunky like some clogs.
