Very nice, little tough to adjust By German shepherd lover from Alabama on 03/14/2009 Pros: Good Value, Tough, Versatile Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Straps for the pack a a little difficult to adjust. The pack must be off my dogs to even think about adjusting, so it's definately a hassle adjusting the straps taking the pack off to adjust again if needed...

By KAK from Centennial, CO on 01/28/2009 Pros: Good Value, Tough, Versatile Best Uses: Larger Pets, Smaller Pets, Travel Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We own two dogs; one small and one large breed. We bought these packs so the dogs can carry their own food, water and emergency supplies while hiking in summer and winter. These packs are easy to put on and easy to adjust. The size chart provided is exact. Price can't be beat. Quality is superior.
My dog loves her new backpack By Marley and Me from Alabama on 01/23/2009 Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My puppy has tons of energy. I use the backpack to help use up some of her energy. She gets very excited when I get it out because she knows we are going hiking.
By SLW from PA on 01/13/2009 Pros: Good Fit, Good Value, Tough Describe Yourself: New Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this product mainly to tire my dog out during our walks and for future backpacking trips when the weather warms up. I can fit a full size nalgene bottle on each side with no problem and still have plenty of extra room. The small fit great on my dog. She is a lab/boarder collie mix at 45 lbs and about 18 inches long and very fit. I was reading reviews about all the packs available and it seemed like the mediums were fitting full size labs so I opted for the small.
This pack is easy to adjust, fits great, the pouches were bigger than I expected. Only downside is you have to make sure you zipper the pouches all the way, once in a while they seem to slide open a couple inches. There is reflective ribbing, but I really havent' noticed it so more reflectiveness would be nice for the night walks. I'm still trying to figure out the light loop.
nice fit, freedom of movement By Barber Hiker from Pikes Peak Region, CO on 01/11/2009 Pros: Easy To Assemble, Lightweight, Stows Easily Describe Yourself: Long-Time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pack is true to size, the compartments hold the right amount of gear, and it's easy to get on and off. My dog has total freedom of movement and there are 2 different leash straps depending on what your dog needs.
One issue is as I have been getting my dog used to wearing the pack with nothing in it that it slumps to one side despite numerous strap configurations it ends up that way within a few paces. The manual recommends loading the pack unbalanced to make the pack balanced if this occurs, which doesn't seem to be a good idea as load weights should be balanced and evenly distributed.
So while the jury is still out, with weight in the pack this shouldn't be (hopefully won't be) a problem.
By jojo from amarillo on 01/08/2009 Pros: Easy To Assemble, Good Construction Describe Yourself: Long-Time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased the pack for my Bull Terrier. The size chart was true and it fit really well. Rosie loved it and went for her leash. The packs are rather large for a dog her size (40lbs). Undecided if we will return for another w/smaller packs. It would be great for a larger dog.
By Dog Man Bob from Park City, Utah on 01/07/2009 Pros: Easily Cleaned, Easy To Assemble, Good Construction, Lightweight, Stows Easily Describe Yourself: Long-Time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack is well made and has a Y yoke design to keep it in place. My 90 lb Weimaraner loves to wear it as he knows we are going on a big outing. I got him the medium which fits fine. The waterproof zippers are also a plus as he crosses streams with reckless abandon. The packs are streamlined and form fitting yet hold a lot. Other packs I have owned have required much more balancing and adjustment.
Great gift for my brothers dog! By Bets from Kansas City, MO on 12/19/2008 Pros: Good Construction, Tough and sturdy Describe Yourself: Long-Time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this as a gift for my brother who loves to hike in the city and country with his dog. The only con is that his dog (a weird shaped mutt) is short and long. The bag fits his chest, but it hangs a little low for him.
