There is a subtle textured feel to these socks but this helps eliminate blistering. I commute by bike (30 years) and walk 5-9 miles at work. The secret to avoiding blisters is wearing two lightweight pairs of socks: old under, stylish over.

I have done the same with other brands of socks with the same results. These socks are not padded which is what I need for most of the time as I wear these for cycling and with casual clothing. The only problem I noted with this brand is inconsistent seaming by the toe. Some seams are nice and flat while others aren't. Word to the wise, try on every pair you order.
