The boots were comfortable from the moment I put them on. I like a big toe box and I also have a high arch. No problem with fit at all!
By MJRICO from Conroe, TX on 02/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Cons: Grey color tends to scuff Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had other pair of lowas and these are very light weight and feel like sneakers. They breath well and are extremely comfortable. Also they have good arch support and they do not feel as hot as other boots I have. Meaning they could be used in warm weather as well. Good job Sierra Trading Post for offering this good quality merchandise.

They felt broken in since the minute I put them on, no sore spots, no ankle pain, no pinching, no problems at all. Get them before is too late. Lowa rocks!. An excellent boot at a good price. By HarmNone2 from Seattle, WA on 01/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A family member has a pair of Lowa's. I like mine as much as hers and I liked the price and ease in ordering. They fit perfectly and are comfortable from the beginning with no break-in time. And, they arrived in the allotted amount of time.
My partner is ordering a pair for himself after seeing what I had ordered, even though they will not be on sale at the time he will be placing his order.
By Princess Zia from Eugene, OR on 01/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoes are attractive and comfortable. I love them! They didn't hurt my feet the first day I wore them and I had them on for 10 hours - pretty impressive for someone who hasn't been able to wear hiking boots for a couple of years because of foot pain. I ordered my pair a half size smaller than I normally would order a pair of shoes, and they fit perfect. This shoe looks like it will last a very long time with its sturdy construction. I'm very happy with my purchase.
By TD from Lexington on 01/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Cons: Could use more padding Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I find hiking boots a hard fit. This boot has the advantage or fitting snug to the foot while leaving enough room for the toes to relax and move freely. The boot is very light weight- possibly lighter than your average sport shoe- and is streamlined. My ankles are well supported and my walk is more natural in these non-clunky boots. I haven't tried them in rain, so that is still an unknown. Good shoe all around. I'm curious to see how the lighter padding works on long trips...
By friend of Zeus from Western NY on 12/29/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had bought a paar of lowa boots in Germany 9 years ago and I can still wear them but thought I need to replace them so I went back to Lowa and do not regret it lightweight true to size and waterproof.
