By Hula from Cary, NC on 11/10/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Good Arch Support, Lightweight Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: You can't go wrong with Keen shoes if you are looking for comfort and good arch support.
These are not as cloddy as the Keen Newport Newbuck, but not nearly as good for walking distances as the Newport.
By Sandy Walker from Florida on 11/09/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Lightweight, Nice color Cons: Not enough arch support, Wider than expected Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these Keens to replace a pair of Nike sandals that finally fell apart (and, sadly, are no longer manufactured.) Arch- There is an arch support, but not enough for someone with flat feet like me. I had to add arch supports to make the Keens comfortable. Size- I usually wear a size ten, but I ordered a size 10.5 based on the "order a half size larger" advice from others. Thank you-the sandals are the perfect length. Width- I think maybe the width of the sandals increases too much with larger sizes. I have wide feet and I have to pull the elastic laces to their absolute tightest. I will be replacing the bungee laces with static laces to help keep them tight on my feet. Quality- They seem quite sturdy. This is my first pair of Keens, so I'll be waiting to see how they hold up. My final opinion is definitely positive, but not overly enthusiastic. I had to make too many modifications for these sandals to get a five star rating.

They were slipping on wet stone which suprised me.

By Swampsis from Great Green swamp fl on 10/26/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable Describe Yourself: Alternative, Old Hippie Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love to hike, but getting my feet comfortable is increasingly more difficult. Think I have a morton's neuroma and tight shoes don't cut it. I need a large toe box and these fit the bill. Only thing about sandals is the debri that gets in. If we could fix that this would be the perfect shoe. Also the laces with toggle are the best I have ever seen in this type shoe. Very sturdy and stays put!
So the long and short of it - perfect shoe if your feet get hot and burn when you walk and you need a large toe box. Order at least a 1/2 size larger in this brand.
Love, still need to break in By Biker from Davis, CA on 10/26/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love Keens, but the back strap did rub so I'll have to break them in. I'd like to try more from this company.
By ShallowGal from Lakeland, FL on 10/26/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Good Arch Support, Lightweight Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second pair of Keens. My first pair I've had for at least two years. I wear them working in the yard, hiking, on the boat, & wade fishing. There is nothing wrong with them except the paint stains I didn't wash off in time. Hence the new pair.

I kept these b/c they are pretty cute and comfortable, although if you're looking for the arch support of a Birk, it isn't in this shoe.
