By Jennifer Bruce from Denver, Colorado on 09/14/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Cons: Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I decided to buy these boots after reading all of the great reviews. Well, I will have to agree with those reviews. I had to purchase new boots after getting custom orthotics. Having recently purchased new expensive boots at the beginning of the summer, I was not looking forward to spending a lot of money. With the price of these boots you cannot go wrong. I have done two lengthy hikes in these boots. On the first occasion I felt a small pinch were the toe bends on my left foot, but with a little more walking it soon disappeared. On the decent I felt an area rubbing on my inside ankle bone, I adjusted the tongue of the boot and felt no more rubbing for the rest of the hike. For the entire summer I had been wearing big band aids on my heals to prevent blisters. WIth these boots it was not necessary at all! I am really happy with my purchase! I wear a 6 to 6.5, bought size 7 and they fit nicely with heavy socks and orthotics.

By Crystal from Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands on 05/14/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was very impressed with these hiking boots. I give them two big thumbs up and 5 stars! I wore them for four days straignt on the Milford Track 33.5 mile hike in New Zealand in March '09 while carrying my pack. I never got blisters. The water resistance worked well for rainy conditions...but if you're stomping through puddles that cover the boots your socks will get wet. This was the first pair of shoes I've ever bought online and they fit perfectly - true to size while wearing a wool sock. The structural integrity was amazing and I felt confident and comfortable. No problems or complaints at all with these boots. Great price too! I LOVE these boots!
By Heidi Hiker from LA, CA on 04/15/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Fishing, Harsh Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased a half size larger than I normally wear so I could double up on socks. I am so glad that I did. I am certain my regular size would have been too small. I would recommend a half size larger than you normally wear. They were comfortable right out of the box. While getting the boat on the trailer on a recent fishing trip I stepped directly into the water by accident. I was shocked - my feet and socks stayed completely dry. These are great shoes for the price!

Straight out of the Box - Great Shoes! By SunshineDreamer from Tehachapi, California on 04/02/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Lots of toe room, Sturdy/Durable, Stylish, VERY COMFORTABLE, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Fishing, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these shoes to go on a weekend fishing tournament. They were so comfortable straight out of the box. They are a little stiff but that is what I was looking for. When I purchased these they did not have my size in stock so I ordered a half size up. I am so glad I did! The half size larger than my normal size fits perfectly, had I gotten the right size I'm sure they would have been too small. There is a lot of toe room also. Great hiking boots!

By AB from Chelan, WA on 04/01/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Flexible, Lightweight Cons: No arch support, Not Comfortable Best Uses: Day Hiking, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the shoes in preparation for a 5-day hiking adventure. After trying the shoes on, they didn't seem to provide the arch support that I will need on a long journey. I guess I'm looking for something that will fit more like a tennis shoe. These boots did not fit the profile. I am sending them back. They are lightweight and seem like they would do fine on a day hike.
