comfy, good-looking pants By lisa from ak from Washington state on 02/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've only used them once - it was a fairly warm day and I didn't get too hot or cold - just right. They seem a little long, but I'm a little short. I like them so far.

By Practical Skiier from Minneapolis, MN on 01/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Hiking, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pants are just as you see online--very nice, nice fabric, and a nice look. One piece that doesn't show is that the back waistband is elastic--nice for fitting but not as smooth and stylin' in the back. More like the ski pants they are :-) They do have a little of the "swish" sound when walking but not like some pants.
These fit me well and generally I have trouble finding things that have a small enough waist (to avoid a gap). They do have a velcro strap on each side to adjust the waist width. I am 5/6" and the length was perfect.
I'm a size 6 and got the small--I might have been fine in the xs but kept the small since I like to put a lot of layers underneath. If you want a smoother look with less underneath and you are on the small side of a grouping you might want to try a size down.
As for warmth these are more like a shell than an insulating layer. They do have a very light lining in addition to the shell, but nothing that would combat a Minnesota winter without underlayment.
Over all they are great and I am satisfied.
By A.J. from Seattle, WA on 12/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great pants for general snow use (skiing, boarding, sledding, etc.). Very comfortable, perfect length for shorter leg inseams (30"). Couldn't find a better buy elsewhere... thanks Sierra Trading Post for another great product and price!!
