Nice, technical pant. High waisted By Not your momma from Seattle, wa on 01/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill, Hiking, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got both the Columbia Free Agent and this one to try. This pant is the nice, heavy duty material that lasts a long time and is very durable. It has many more features, (inside leg zips etc..) than the other one, but since i got this one in an XL it is just too big and the waist is way too tall.(You can see that in the picture) I am 5'11" and they are pretty long. You are walking on the cuffs without your boots on. Since the Large fit fine in the Free agent, I actually expected the XL in these to be even bigger than it was, so I'd say they are not overly generously sized for being XL. But, I almost wanted to keep them anyway because they were such a great deal for a very high quality, technical pant. I'm keeping the Free Agent pants, even though it is a much cheaper material pant.
By Mom of a teen skiier from Washington, DC on 01/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these pants for my 15 year old son who is 6'2" and on the skinny side. At first I got the large because of some of the other reviews, but I returned it for a medium because the large was huge on my son.
He skiied a week in Colorado in those pants and thought the pants were perfect. Great value for the price.
