By archibrat from Raleigh, NC on 04/21/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Downhill skiing Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these and the Spyder Soul Ski Pants to see which I would like best. After a home fitting, I was sold on the Columbia. I skied a 4 day weekend in Tahoe (spring weather) and love these pants. Great quality, hearty fabric, lots of pockets, water proof, nice modern design, good feeling and adjustable waist, lots of extras. The ventilation was also perfect and well designed. Worked in both 40 degree and 70 degree weather with no need for long underwear. My biggest complaint is they are made for tall folks; 6'+. I an 5'9.5" and the inseam is about 3" too long. A short version would have been perfect, but Sierra did not carry it and at [$]... I can deal with the added inches.
I would buy this product again. I was comfortable and they kept me dry when I fell.
Not quite stated size of 33 to 36 waist. By Boolah from Illinois on 03/25/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Not quite true to size Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered a pair for each of my grown sons for a family ski trip. Stated size for the waist 33 to 36. One son wears 32 waist another 34 waist. Okay for the 32 waist, too tight for the 34 waist. Had to wear them unbuttoned. Otherwise worked out well, warm and waterproof.
