By daiku24 from Monroe, La on 10/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first pair of New Balance shoes and this is an initial review as I have just received the shoes. They feel lightweight, but comfortable.
Although they were listed as trail running shoes, they fit better into the casual shoe category. I would recommend this particular pair of shoes to someone looking for a nice pair of casual athletic shoes. They feature nice styling and breathe easy thanks to the mesh composite material.

Half size to big, Can't Run In By Ted The Great from Upstate, SC on 05/04/2009 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted to use the shoe to do some light day hiking and a little trail running, but the shoe is at least a half size to big. Therefore, I don't have the support I feel like I need to do the running. Also, because the shoe is larger if feels strange as I'm not used to a shoe that size.

Good trail shoe and a good value By Brian S from Altadena, Ca on 04/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is not your average New Balance running shoe. It is not as padded, but is more stable for walking and running on trails than a running shoe. great tread pattern. Little rocks and pebbles don't get stuck in the sole. They are very lightweight and comfortable, but don't expect the soft cushy ride of a regular running shoe. You probably don't want to get off the trails too much with this shoe as the toes are like a running shoe. No protection for the toes.
By Early Morning Runner in Upstate NY. from Gallupville NY on 04/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wife and I both like New Balance and these shoes have not disappointed. Morning runs here are on rough surfaces (everything here is rough!) so we need supportive, stable shoes. These are working well for us.
