I was a little disappointed, but I would not return the shoe.

By Holly from San Diego on 05/13/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Long ago I worked at a running shoe store, so knew what style shoe I needed (stability for my neutral arch.) New Balance has been a trusted brand, so I chanced it with the good deal on these shoes. I ordered 1/2 size up because of the recommendation (fit small). Size worked out great, however, they feel hard and heavy on my feet. Since I run daily and wear running shoes nearly everywhere, I would have got a shoe with a bit of a softer feel. No blisters though!

And the correct size was the best, not the larger size which you all suggested.
New Balance 1050 Running Shoes By Nick from Chicago on 05/04/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible Best Uses: Pavement, Running, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: In your description of the shoe, you said it ran small and to order 1/2 larger. I found the shoe to run true to size, and can only wear with heavier socks, so I am bit disappointed in the fit.
I plan to buy another pair. By Cherokee from Nashville on 05/03/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Everyday wear, Pavement, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: To maintain health and help achieve weight loss I walk 2 to 3 miles daily. Most of my walking is on blacktop. I have several problems with my feet, including plantar fascitis, so they are very sensitive. these shoes feel as good as any I've had on my feet in a while. The arch support is better than in my $140 hiking boots. I'm pleased with my purchase and plan to order another pair if they are still available in my size.
Won't use for running, but for walking By Jill from San Diego, CA on 05/02/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Everyday wear, Pavement, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a 10 1/2 in street shoes, and got these in size 11. They feel just slightly too short to run in, but OK for walking. They would probably be better for me in a size 11 1/2, but they don't make that size.
