comfortable, capacious, funny straps By iabrams from Chicago, IL on 08/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good padding, Highly Adjustable, Large capacity, Lightweight Best Uses: Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For the price, this is what I have been looking for in a comfortable daypack. It carries a lot in a firmly padded and structured shape. No imbalance or pokeyness when filled. I've used this on several long bike rides filled with heavy picnic food. Some drawbacks that you'd probably find on any pack: I've experienced slight shoulder pain from weight, but adjusting straps as I go helps with temporary relief. Upper strap adjustment is not easy and seems that this is not a good pack for a person with small shoulders because it doesn't tighten down beyond a certain point. Lower hip strap is easy and unlimited tightening. Great, snug water bottle pocket (free bottle with my pack!) Can't reach water bottle without completely removing pack. Still, this is way better than my cheap school daypack. I wouldn't wear it as a daily pack because the stiff, wide, high straps look very funny from the front. Bears won't mind but you might feel odd in human company.

The capacity is smaller than what I'm used to, but it does fit everything I need from laptop to a few books and other misc items. It's not bulky and has comfortable shoulder straps.
