By Dave the new dad from Houston, TX on 08/02/2009 Pros: Great pockets and pouches, Highly Adjustable, Large capacity Cons: Insufficient Padding Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The biggest surprise is the bottle that is supposed to serve as the hydration system. For an additional price one can acquire the necessary hose/setup to be able to drink from the bottle without removing it from its pocket. What's the point? Furthermore, the pocket for the bottle is listed as "insulated" in the product tags attached to it, but that is a remarkably generous description of the miniscule padding surrounding approximately two-thirds of the pocket which also has a mesh bottom. Possibly nylon mesh has insulating properties I'm unaware of. So, the bag has a good size for what I need. The front pocket has a great nylon pouch system. The shoulder straps are very lacking in padding. The faux denim (all the blue)is not very attractive. I needed a more masculine diaper bag and for the low price this will do, but I am very disappointed in Camelback for the overall cheapness of this backpack.
