By hitopsneaker from Santa Barbara, CA on 10/13/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm Cons: Squeak, Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational, Environmentalist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have never bought shoes (boots) over the internet before so I was somewhat apprehensive about this purchase. My feet are small so it is hard to find good shoes/boots in my size. These are wonderful. (And the squeak might be my socks--still working that one out!) They are a little bit stiffer than I expected but I think that will be just fine over time as they mold to my feet. Thanks! Great product! Will buy again from you guys!
By shefit from oklahoma city, ok on 08/04/2009 Pros: Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Long Break-in, Not Comfortable, Squeak Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: these are very stiff so i don't recommend hiking in them right out of box. i made the mistake of taking a 14 mile hike over rocky terrain and was in excrutiating pain by the end. rubbed my ankles raw and not much foot bed.
By LM from Corvallis, OR on 03/28/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is actually too soon to comment honestly. Ask in 3 or 4 months when the boots are nicely broken in and I have a chance to go on a couple of long mountain back pack trips.
I like having these made in Italy rather than China. The fit is way better.
By cosmicsurvivor from Seattle, WA on 03/24/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Heavy, Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good Boots, Looks Good, Supportive, a little stiff (but with some breaking in, it should be taken care of), Best of All....NOT MADE IN CHINA
By Emily from Murray, KY on 03/23/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Environmentalist, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Been wearing these for about a week. Very comfortable, not too heavy, water proof so far, look nice. A little trouble getting ankle tight enough but once they loosen up it should be easier. I would recommend these. I like them alot so far.
bought because they were NOT made in Chi By charli from new mexico on 03/10/2009 Pros: Made in Italy, Made well Cons: Can't tighten laces, Heel slips up, Toe area too narrow Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used to wear sundowner (Italian leather) years back, was very satisfied, but the company has lost its badge for quality. I was hoping these boots would fit as the old sundowners did, so will have to send them back as the toe box is to narrow.

They feel great. I think they have a lot of potential. I will be wearing them a lot to break them in.
By carol the adventurer from Salt Lake City, UT on 02/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots took a couple of days to break in. Now they mold to my feet and feel like I have had them for years! My feet stayed warm and dry in heavy snow while I was in Idaho (about 20 degrees daytime high).
I would buy this product again and again By BHCC33 from Waverly, IA on 02/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the first pair of boots I have ever
bought for hiking, cold or warm weather.
They work very well with the snow shoes I bought
and my feet did not get wet or cold. Anxious
to see what they are like during warmer weather
hikes. Although they felt stiff first putting them
on they were comfortable during use and felt no
friction around the ankles which was my concern.
