By Roadrunner from Mesa Arizona on 08/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When you live in Southern Arizona you need footwear that allows your feet to breathe and keeps you cool. These shoes are perfect for hot weather.
By DHonis from Anaheim, CA on 08/02/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Just wanted a day hiking shoe for light to moderate day hikes. While the shoe is pretty comfortable for walking, it is a terrible trail shoe. With the large open window vent in the back of the shoe above the heel, all kinds of rocks and pebbles get into the shoe constantly. Really annoying I am sure you will agree. Would only use this shoe for walking on paved surfaces or maybe as a kayak or rafting shoe.
By Cal the guitar player from Central CA on 08/01/2009 Pros: Breathes well, Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Everyday, Warm weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear this for work at a prison. It is usually warm and i walk a lot, so it's nice to have a comfortable shoe that breathes well. I also like that it is a slip on shoe with good traction, in case i need to run. Finally, it looks good.
By Curt from Willamina, OR on 07/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: been wearing them here on the farm every day since they arrived; can't believe how well they shed water, insoles don't seem to absorb water at all; cool, like wearing sandals, but stable;
seams are a little rough in the toe box, so I wear half-socks. I consider them a very good buy.

You can wear them with or with out socks for both winter and summer use...great shoe.

Note that these are "HYBRID" shoes By M from Gulfport, FL on 05/22/2009 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Did not notice when I was ordering these that they are "hybrid" shoes (not that I would have known what that meant). These things are like a cross between a sandal and a sneaker. The back is open, so your foot is exposed, and there are holes throughout. They "breath" quite well, if that is what you re looking for. I imagine that they would be good for hot weather, where there is no chance of rain.
By MAC from Wisconsin on 05/12/2009 Cons: Not durable, Poor traction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was initially pleased with how light and comfortable these were, although I did have to wear a light sock with them. Bought them for hiking and other activities in Hawaii where "water-friendly" shoes were required. After a tough 9-mile hike with water crossings, sea kayaking, some beach wear, and tubing, one footbed is separating. I was also disappointed with wet traction on the rocky trail.
