By coachc from TN on 10/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Finish, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Camping, Home, Hunting Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Boker Stag Handle, Damascus steel knife is a work of art. It certainly is functional, but I may just retire it to a glass case. The Damascus steel coupled with the Stag handle is easy on the eye.
The extra sheath does not accept this knife, but the untooled sheath does.
This was a super bargin, on a great knife.
By ADK hunter from Adirondacks, NY on 12/31/2008 Pros: Classic, Comfortable Grip, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Solid, Tough Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Knife is a beauty. Its extremely sharp and looks like its very durable. The blade hilt and handle are all one solid piece of molded steel so it will never loosen up. [*]
By Jimmer from Pleasant Hill, Ca. on 12/19/2008 Cons: Poor Craftsmanship, Uncomfortable Grip Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm disappointed. It looks like a kit knife. The work on the guard and "tang" are rough and sharp! Either the stag was turned down too much or the steel not enough. The steel along the spine and belly of the handle needs sanding. I cut myself on the handle! The handle isn't symetical. One side is thicker than the other.
I'm sure it will function fine but in this price range, I would have expected better.
By armchair hunter from tolland,ct on 12/17/2008 Cons: Clumsy design second she, Spare sheath did non fit Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: the damascus blade was beautiful, but overall design is clumsy. The second sheath which came with it did not fit at all.
