I have an office and inspect highway construction worksites nearly everyday. I've had these about a month as of this review. I will likely buy another pair.
By H2oskier from Ottawa, KS on 07/06/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Light Loads, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: At first I thought the sole was a little to soft and flexable, as I like very stiff soles, but after working in them for a few weeks, I find them to be just right. I work at UPS in the preload and work on concrete floors and step in and out of trucks while loading for 4 hours, so I need a good boot. These have turned out to be just what I was looking for.
Need to return - runs whole size large By not happy from MD on 07/01/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I think these would have been great boots, probably 4-5 star except that I could not use them as they are too big. I own two other pairs of La Sportiva boots both size 43.5. I ordered this size with confidence they would fit but I was let down. May be the difference between boots made in Italy (the ones I already have) and ones made in Vietnam.
By Peacesign from Colorado on 05/02/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Light Loads, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This boot has all the modern updates, yet looks like the boots you wore to class in Boulder or Berkeley in 1970. Pretty cool. Great for walking the dog and day hiking.

Fresh out of the box, I wore them for a 3 mile walk and they felt wonderful. They are light and have excellent shock absorbtion with good ankle support. I washed my car wearing them and they kept my feet dry. I wouldn't change a thing about these boots.

Purchased to climb Kilimanjaro. Very comfortable, warm and dry during the 4 day summit. A few small blisters during the steep 2 day down hill, but thats to be expected. Took about a few hours of hiking to properly break-in.

I'm happy with them. They're the best all season hiking boot purchase I've made in years, that coming from one who lives in a cool climate eight months of the year. My local sporting goods manufacturer discontinued a very similar boot about ten years ago, much to my disappointment. So I was happy to see these appear at Sierra Trading Post.

By Outside Worker from Michigan on 03/03/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Flexible, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This hiking boot feels like a very basic boot. Fine for a casual walk through the trails but not much more. I tie my laces tight for more support and the tongue is too thin so it hurt my ankle.Had to send them back.
