By Walter Joseph Kovacs from Peoria, IL on 01/07/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots have broken in well. I tend to look for wide shoes and these fit comfortably. The Vibram soles give these boots a very sure-footed feel on slopes and slick surfaces. The leather construction looks solid and La Sportiva has a good reputation for solid shoes. The tongue baffle connects to the shoe proper at even with the ankle line providing sufficient "waterproofness" for most situations.
Outstanding traction and comfort By Bill the Climber from Pittsburgh, PA on 12/01/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Best attribute is the outstanding traction on muddy and steep hillsides. I have had many other boots that did not come close to the traction of these boots. They have proven themselves to be waterproof and comfortable as well. I am very happy with this purchase.
