By Monkey from Prescott, AZ on 08/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a combination working/hiking shoe. Ten hours on concrete floors, and my feet feel good. These shoes are very stable, and have great traction.
By comfort hound from Lafayette CO on 08/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Low profile around ankle, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love these! It took three tries to get the size right, but I am glad I persisted. I wear a 7.5 and followed the sizing recommendations to no avail. The long and short of it: I ended up with the 39 (that is a 7.5+) and they fit perfectly. They felt sturdy and stable when I took them out for a maiden voyage: a 2 mile walk on a dirt trail. No break-in time for these beauties. Five stars would have been given if they were also water resistant.
Returned twice; felt too small By Easy Hiker from California on 08/03/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Didn't keep them since even though the info said they ran large, they were too small even when I ordered my normal size so I gave up and returned both pairs. They seem like they would be a good quality boot if you can figure out what size to buy!
By Cnaff from Baltimore, Md on 07/27/2009 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes looked great and were comfortable except they were too small. The description said cut large order half size smaller. Instead I order my normal size and they were still small. Too bad, they looked great and felt comfortable if I ignored my toes being squished.
By Sensitive-footed soul from Lafayette CO on 07/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Like others, I purchased a half size smaller (7 rather than my usual size 7.5) based on the website recommendation, and they are too small. In other words: they fit like a size 7. My toes touch the end of the shoe, even without socks! That may be in part because of the narrower toe box, but I'm hoping the 7.5 will be perfect because I like these.
By farmerswife from Ohio on 06/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my daily walks around the farm fields with my dog and an occasional hike in the woods. They are comfortable, with nice support in the arch. I wear a size 10 and they don't make my feet look huge. I have not worn them in water or in rain so I don't know if they're water resistant. I am very pleased with my purchase.
By none from Fresno, Ca on 03/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The instructions say to order a half size smaller. I did and ended returning them for my actual size. The shoe does have a narrow toe box. But other than that they are very comfy and I don't see too much breaking in of the shoes in my future. Also they're nice looking too, already recieved a compliment.
By tree lady from mid Missoure on 02/06/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The website said to order a size smaller. I found the opposite to be true. Ended up ordering a full size larger. The toe box is a little tight. But, they seem to be comfortable for day hiking. They have a nice look and subtle colors.
