By T- Bone from Flagstaff AZ. on 06/23/2009 Cons: Difficult Laces, Heavy, Not Comfortable Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The boot is a dissapointment with poor workmanship and a lack of padding on the inside of the boot.
By Bort from Juneau, AK on 06/13/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Southeast Alaskan Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in a rainforest, so even a short hike requires waterproof footwear on most days. I have taken them up steep and muddy trails and rock hopping along the coastline, great traction and truly waterproof to about 4.5 inches. Only complaint is that the softer foam ruber (light grey stuff) around the base of the boot tears up pretty easily on rocks. Overall good boots and you cannot do better for the price.

It is slightly stiff, but I have not had any break-in issues. You can carry medium loads without feet problems. Good traction on trails.

By willy from Denver, CO on 04/23/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a nice looking boot, but the upper lace hook created a pressure point on the ankle and I sent them back. Also, the tongue is narrow so you can't place it between the hook and your ankle.
