nice looking shoe, color is different By agc from minneapolis mn on 05/05/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i just recieved the drifters in the mail. though i can't submit an accurate critique of their overall integrity, it is nice to note that the color differs from that shown in the picture. The green is much more green than it looks online and the dark brown is actually two tone. The back part of the shoe is brown while the front toe part is a subtle green/brown. I love the color, it's just not what i was expecting!
By Hobo from New Orleans on 04/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: be sure to order half size larger, as site mentions. Great shoe. I wear it to work, semi-pro / casual attire, and can't wait to take it on trails. I've had a heel problem, plantar fascitis, I think that all my other shoes have bothered with for months- except these. Nice leather look, and comfortable, quick feel inside.

Two personalites, looks and feel. By seetoddrun from San Diego on 03/17/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Yes these are not the most attractive looking shoes. My friend said they looked like panda bears. The worst of it is that right out of the box they smell horrible, meaning that new shoe smell is times one hundred, and I've had them for a few weeks now and the smell is still pretty strong. Lighten up on the chemical treatment Patagonia!
After soaking them in water for quicker break in I've found them to be very stable on the trail as well as comfortable and surprisingly breathable. The Vibram sole design has great gripping which gives me that sure-footed/ stability feeling on loose terrain, something I have not found with some other brands of light hiking shoes. The upper is well cushioned. Rugged enough to do someoff trail scrambling. All together a true light hiking boot.
Patagonia Drifter is hands down the best By Juno from Denver on 03/09/2009 Pros: All Day Good for standing, Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have had serveral low hikers an they have all been very painful leave it to Patagonia Drifter to change that from the first wearing. They run small so order a half size bigger. I love these great green shoes! Ive been on my feet all day standing and walking an they have great support and very comfortable. I would highly recomend them an of course Siera Trading is the best.

So far I really like the looks and the comfort. I will try them for day hikes in the mountains.
