well-designed and high quality By hiker dude from Maryland on 02/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Use for day hikes in any conditions.
Sturdy design, very comfortable (once you get a size larger) and not overly-padded, like most other lightweight boots.
Color choice and cosmetic stitching is downright ugly. But once you've used them a bit appearances don't matter so much.

Great shoe, great support! By boater from colorado on 01/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these shoes for my husband who needs great foot support. He really likes them and feels like they support the arch and the outside of the foot. Ordered .5 size up like site suggested and size seems just right. Shoe looks better in person than on website.
Comfort, Style and performance By Jake the teacher from Vancouver, wa on 12/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Cons: Not Water Resistant, Stiff Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe is stylish enough to wear everyday, but rugged enough to head out on a hike. The Vibram soles are incredible and stick in all situations. I really appreciate the rubber protection the wraps completely around the shoe, but especially the toe, which provides much needed protection from rock, kids and curbs. The only downside of this shoe is its lack of water resistance even when new. From the first day I bought this shoe water failed to bead on the smooth leather. I plan on waterproofing them soon just so they don't act like sponges.
