Lacing should be done with eyes not "speed lace hooks" or with tiny "dee rings". Hooks wear through the bottoms of pants; they get crushed and when bent back into shape they break off. Miniture dee ring ends separate when laces are pulled tightly.
I did not measure my foot correctly and I will not be able to wearthe boots I bought. When asked "how do they feel" I said they feel like water skis,but that is my fault. I have owned numbers of pairs of Dunhams in the past and have always been happy with them. I wish I could trade these for a smaller pair or get my money back.

My grandfather has been wearing Dunhams since the 60's so that makes a statement about their quality in my opinion. A classic boot without some of the features that you might get with some of the gore tex and other modern things but still a great boot especially at this price.
