By jan from Westchester, NY on 01/22/2009 Cons: Poor Fit, Restricts Movement Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: even though it was xl the neck was too small to fit over anyone but a child's head.

By John S from Madison, WI on 01/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great base layer for cross-country skiing or very cold weather running. The neck opening is snug, but that keeps my neck warm, allowing me to go with fewer other layers. It wicks moisture great, too. The fit is perfect: no slack, but plenty of freedom of movement for vigorous exercise. The black version is nice; if they had white in my size I'd have bought another.
Great all around turtleneck By Front Range Ranger from Morrison Colorado on 01/20/2009 Pros: Affordable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Professional appearance, Snug Fit, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Changing weather, Cold Weather, Indooroutdoor garment, Layering, Snow Sports, Under uniform shirt Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Wickers turtleneck is one of the few affordable performance turtlenecks on the market.
It is great for people who have to wear patrol type uniforms and are constantly switching from an outside to inside environment. Most performance T necks have a zipper which doesnot lend to a professional appearance. The material wicks moisture very well and is comfortable on the skin. The model I recieved this year is a vast improvement to last year's model. The current fit is slightly more snug around the neck and the exterior material is more durable and stretchy. The purchase of this product also supports a company that still manufactures cothing in the USA which helps out the american work force.
Great product overall.
By Todd, the routine averse from Princeton, NJ on 01/19/2009 Pros: Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit Cons: Neck Strangling, Poor Fit Best Uses: Asphyxiation, Cold Weather, Running Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This turtleneck was a bear to get over my head, but otherwise fit well. The fabric feels pretty generically polyester-y. I decided to send it back.
Extremely comfortable shirt, tight neck By ScampTWD Runner/Chaser from Middle Tennessee on 01/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Stylish, Warm Cons: Tight neck for big heads Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I tried these on the first night I got them. First, I had a very tough time fitting them over my head - yes I'm a big head!
However, once I got them over the dome, these are the most comfortable turtlenecks I have had in a very, very long time. I'm glad I bought two of them as I have worn them constantly walking the dogs in recent cold weather.
Because they are so warm, I hesitate to wear them running because I tend to be a warm runner to begin with. That, and if I did get too warm, watching me struggle to get these off would be a humerous site for anyone going by.
Great shirts, wonderful for layering, and excellent for cold weather enjoyment.
By Hip chick from Royal Oak Michigan on 01/13/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have the turtleneck in large and it is a tad too large so I ordered medium and I can barely get them over my head!
Great turtleneck ,tight-fitting By Bob J from Chicago on 01/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Cycling, Layering, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a large in most shirts, but I would probably be more comfortable in an XL in this turtleneck. Very nice shirt, very warm, and nice enough to wear on a casual night out, besides being great for layering in cold weather outdoor activity. You may want to consider a size up on this one.
Bought b/4 and needed more By Jimbo24u from Central California on 01/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Has become my standard base layer for work when the weather is nippy (mid to low 40's) to when it gets down to around 30 degrees. I sweat freely across my shoulders and mid-lo back area.As a professional window cleaner, I am inside and out frequently. Cotton holds the moisture and it gets real cold at times going outside all sweated up. When I use these as my base layer, it solves the problem very nicely. I am able stay dry and warm with a minimum time being chilled across my shoulders and back. Also, they minimize the bulkiness of winter dress.I rarely wear more than two layers under the circumstances that I have mentioned. I prefer the turtle neck style for my own use.
