Walker from Chapel Hill on 12/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Neoprene collar holds foot snug, but does not make shoe particularly difficult to put on. I should not have a problem taking them off and putting on in airport security lines.
Get tight as day wears on. By gfd from West Chester, Pa on 11/28/2008 Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have another pair of Red Wing Shoes (Gables) I was looking for the same large toe box with these shoes.
These are shallow. Perhaps they will stretch in time.

So far he is enjoying them. Nice looking shoe. He can be rough on shoes so we will have to see how they hold up.
By smaug from northeast on 11/19/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted a pair of shoes that I could slip on and off readily. These shoes fit that requirement nicely and look fairly good to me. A previous review had suggested that the shoe was much too tight. I ordered my normal size expecting it to be tight but if anything it was a bit too loose. I'll keep them as the price was attractive and a smaller size isn't available, but if they stretch they won't be useful to me.
By geronimox from Los Angeles on 11/05/2008 Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered my usual size. My expectation was that the shoes would slip on and off with relative ease (like some Merrells and Columbia Footwear shoes of similar style I have worn in the past). No way. Even with a shoe horn I could barely squeeze into them, even though, once on, the fit was merely snug. I won't even bother exchanging for a larger size. That neoprene collar mentioned in the shoe's specs is the problem, I think. Back to the drawing board on this style, Redwing.
