Comments:
These shoes are great for winter runs. They have wonderful traction on hard pack. Very water resistant. I usually get my running shoes in 10.5, but had to return them for 10. Not too stiff while still providing good support.

Comments:
Shoes are very light and comfortable (I thought they would be much heavier and clumbsier with the studs and gaitors). Traction is unbelievable but when I go off trail through the woods and fields snow gets down inside. these would be the perfect running shoes for me if The gaitors kept the snow out. I would recomend these if you have no plans of going through snow.

Comments:
This is my second pair of Ice Buggers. The first is now a year old, and holding up well except that it has lost about half of its metal traction studs and is at least a half size too small, which eventually led to a blister on the end of my middle toe after an 11 mile walk, and the purchase of this pair. The new pair was great on today's 5K run on packed snow over ice around the local recreation path. The studs were rock solid throughout, yet the shoe still felt like a running shoe, not hiking boots. The gaiters are good up to about 9" of snow depth, eliminating any need for any other low winter boots. Putting on these shoes is a two-step process: first stepping into and lacing up the shoe, then zipping up the gaiter on top. That Sierra offers these for a third of what I paid for the first pair last year is just icing on the cake!
