Nice shorts, great material By outdoor geek from CA on 09/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching Cons: Color darker than picture Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This InertiaPlus fabric is great. It's thick/durable but still lightweight, is polyester and stretches without lycra so it'll dry quickly. I have these in shorts and pants, and they have a very wide comfort range, from cool, windy alpine ridges, to walking the dog around the block. Also nice to have zippers on pockets for security.
By D from Chicago,Il on 06/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This short went above and beyond the call of duty. Comfortable stretch fabric, wrinkle resistent(almost proof),great looks and fit and not only water resistent but as I found out even Baby spit up rolled right off of these sweet shorts. I think these shorts would work well in almost every you can throw at them, hiking, Mtn biking(w/added chamois under them),travel, casual and fishing(so far).I went back and bought five more!
By Mark from Minnetonka, MN on 06/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Running/Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice all around shorts. Great for roller skiing, the gym, hiking, trail runs, or just lounging. They seem like they're destined to be favorites for a long time.
Super comfortable, but not for me. By hyzer.machine from Ft. Collins, CO on 06/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Cons: Waist lining seemed hot Best Uses: Casual Wear, Running/Hiking Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Shorts seemed super comforatable, but were shorter than expected. Back pockets were velcro which was very hard to get in and out of. Waist lining felt like fleece which did not seem like it would be very breathable in hot weather. Shorts material felt solid though; unlike anything else I had seen before.
A very sharp pair of shorts By Michigander from NE Michigan on 06/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Running/Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband loves these shorts. He finds them to be very comfortable as well as good looking and extremely well-made.
By Chutney from North Carolina on 04/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well worth the money. Legs of shorts do not 'flair' out at bottoms, so while needing a 38" waist these things did not balloon at knee - I would say that they have as athletic a cut as shorts could have. Might not be the best fit for someone with a 38" waist who stands 5'5 (I am 6'4, 260" and they fit fantastic).
By Macsdad from Ventura County, CA on 02/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shorts are relatively lightweight for softshell...Construction and fit are excellent.
By Roz from South East South Dakota on 01/31/2009 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is the dead of winter here so will be awhile before I get to wear these shorts but what great material.
By Sammy from Chester, CT on 01/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Stylish, Washes Well, Weather-resistant Cons: Back pockets are odd, Irregular Fit Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Rainywindy golf, Travel, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great shorts for windy/rainy conditions and are very comfortable because of the stretch material. They do have oddly cut back pockets, and the waist runs a bit large and high in the back. Very well constructed and nice front zip slash pockets. Other than minor odd stuff mentioned, they are typical excellent Cloudveil quality, and will perform well just about anywhere.
