Comments: I fight forest fires for a living & these socks are great. Smartwool socks are great period. These socks are relativly thin and have the great seems that Smartwool is noted for. I'm sure they will last for years & I would recomend them to anyone involved in outdoor sports.
Snow Riding SmartWool Socks are great.

Comments: This was my second order for these socks. I intend to use them as knee-highs because we don't get to do snow riding or snow boarding here! On a recent night, I needed knee-highs and gave them a first test. They stayed up without binding my calves, and that is wonderful. I have trouble finding such socks that don't make my calves--and thus my feet--hurt. I was delighted that my feet stayed neither too warm nor too cold. My husband had me order 2 pairs for him this time. He has tried them on and pronounced them "Great!"

Comments: I have reviewed these socks before. I ordered them to wear instead of knee-highs available in our area in fabrics that I don't enjoy wearing. My feet feel cold and damp in cotton; I sometimes wear acrylic, but it just doesn't match SmartWool. With other brands and fabrics, I usually find toe seams that hurt my sensitive toes and tops that really bind--or slide down. SmartWool toes are unbelievably comfortable; tops stay up but do not bind too much. The socks keep my feet warm without making them hot. When I have worn the socks for awhile and remove them, they may feel damp, but my feet are dry. I ordered two pairs for my husband, who taught me about SmartWool socks. He will use them for winter wear; he tried them on and pronounced them "Great!"
Don't think you can't wear knee-highs

Comments: I bought these Snow Riding socks simply to use as warm knee-highs when cooler weather returns--or if I get chilled. (The weather was warm when I tried the socks, but they were not hot.) I wore them for a little while to judge their fit am happy to say that they feel good and that they stay up without binding. As my calves are larger than they once were, I can rarely say that about knee-highs. I'm quite pleased with these socks!

Comments: I found these very comfortable with enough padding so my feet didn't blister or cause any soreness. I've been using these with my newly bought LaSportiva Trango Trek GTX boots. Also my feet were nice and dry even though I was out in the rain for a few hours. Moister was non present. Great socks.
