I did add some puff paint to the bottoms, so he can wear them around the hardwood without slipping. My son likes to sleep very warm. Since he is too young for blankets, I layer these socks under his pj's and bunting to keep his feet warm. These are also great to wear with snowboots.

They do seem to run slightly big. We will use them in snow boots and one child likes to wear them to bed each night.

It hasn't been cold enough to test them outdoors yet, but my girls love them. The patterns are cute and they are soft and warm. They fit like a slipper. I own some of the Acorn Polartec socks and like
them so much that I bought these for my nieces, who live in another state. They have the socks now, but I don't think they have had a chance to try them. I believe that when they grow to fit the socks (which were ordered a bit big so that they would not miss out on them), they will really enjoy them!
