By Anita from Helena, Montana on 11/11/2009 Pros: Nice fabric, Well-constructed Cons: Poor Fit, Unflattering Shape Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Normally a busty size six, I had to go to a size 12 before I could button this jacket. It is cut almost like a Saville Row suit rather than a barn jacket, with a nipped waist that is impractical for casual outwear. Also, the neckline can't be buttoned up. An open V-neck--there's no top button--on a lightly insulated cold weather jacket also doesn't make sense. This jacket might work for someone who finds regular barncoats too casual for urban weekends, for instance, and doesn't need to layer.

By Kate from Minneapolis, MN on 10/17/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this in a 10 and a 12 (UK size) and kept the 12. For me, Barbour tends to be roomy in the bust area and narrow in the hips. I think of myself as average build. The 10 fit, but a bit huggy at the hips. 12 is great. I bought this before an autumn trip of lots of walking in temps varying from 45 to 60 degrees F. Was a perfect perfect jacket. It's comfortable, beautifully made, and attractive. Perfect for walking the dog, any everyday activity. HIGHLY recommend this jacket.

It can dress up or stay casual. Very good product.
By Sierra Nevada Girl from Northern CA mountains on 10/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice jacket. Wish it didn't come so wrinkled though, mine hasn't hung out well and there are no instructions with the jacket on how to wash/dry/iron it other than "Wash separately". Not even a water temp guide. As to the sizing - order the UK equivalent to US sizes. I am a US 10 so ordered a 14 and it fits perfectly. I believe I will get years of use from this jacket, it looks like it will just get better looking/fitting with wear.
High quality classic jacket By WA traveler from Milton, WA on 10/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a perfect fall jacket - extremely soft and comfortable. The body of the jacket is lined with an attractive plaid and sleeves are lined with nylon that long sleeved shirts can slip into easily. I especially like the snap front and dual pocket design. For shopping comparison, I spent a full day at the mall searching out jackets in upscale stores and determined that this Barbour jacket was the "hands-down" winner.

One more for my Barbour collection By Wild Zoo Lady from SLC, UT on 09/03/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Barbour jackets. This one is soft, flattering on me, just warm enough for fall. The olive color is almost a silver gray, beautiful.
I'll have to hem the sleeves for my extra short arms, aside from that it's perfect.

Perfect shaped fit, soft fabric, and subtle yet stylish. It is a cross between a blazer and a denim jacket. I liked it so much I bought a winter Barbour coat the day after I wore this one.
