The size is an 8 but it fits like a 2! What a shame.
By Prep Girl from Connecticut on 01/13/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I think this jacket is a great fit for someone who is evenly proportioned. It is a slim cut, so if you want to wear very bulky sweaters underneath you would want to order one size up. Having said that, the fabric is very soft, the length is generous, and I find the flit to be very flattering. My only complaint is that the standup collar is a bit stiff and tends to hit me in the jawline.
Just Right for My Wardrobe Needs By Avid shopper from rural New York State on 12/31/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I followed the catalog advice and bought one size up which made it just the right fit-- even the sleeve length was right.
The coat looks very flattering on and I can see it in my travel wardrobe, as well as for use when I want to be more dressed up.
By happy shopper from seattle, wa on 12/26/2008 Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered one size larger than usual, as suggested, and the coat still had a tight fit around the upper body. Also, the material, though soft to the touch, is somewhat stiff, which adds to the poor fit.
I returned it.
beautiful, but cut too small in chest By mom2jen from Connecticut on 12/18/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Lightweight, Well Made Best Uses: Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Had to return the jacket because size 14 means US size 10 making it much too small
Nice quality. Some sizing issues. By gigi from Philadelphia, PA on 12/05/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is lovely-a medium weight quilted jacket of nice quality. The fabric is great-feels and looks almost like a very fine suede. Would be great for 3 season use if worn with a layer underneath for winter cold. The only issue for me was that the chest was cut more tightly than the rest of the jacket, and I'm pretty evenly-proportioned. I've purchased the next size up, which I'm keeping, but the same is true in this one as well. I still like the jacket well enough to keep as it's nice enough for my needs, but it would be perfect for women who are a bit smaller up top than below.
