Unlike most wicking shirts this has the heft of a traditoinal cotton turtleneck. Plus it is slghtly loose like a cotton turtleneck I wear it with shell jacket in 30 degree ski weather. I wear it almost all ski seaon in virginia. not too light and not too heavy
