Terramarar Long Underwear Top and Bottom By John from upstate NY on 10/28/2009 Cons: Shirt tail too short, Traps moisture Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a not quite fair review on my part since the weather has not yet been very cold. Nevertheless, these long underwear did not shed trapped moisture during cool fall days and the top needs to be longer at the waist. I would like to rate this product again during very cold weather to give a more accurate product review. I bought these as a lower cost companion to STP merino wool long underwear and there is no comparison. The merino wool is far superior - and more costly. This product gets filled with static electricity by the very nature of its man made fabric. I will hold off on my final critique until the weather turns well below freezing.
By John Paul Jones from Hardin, MT on 10/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Layering, Running Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I found this to be just as advertised. Warm, light, and fit well.
By 54over14 from Elk Mountains, CO on 10/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shirt feels to be about 200gram weight which is a little light for a winter base by itself but in combination with other layers it'll work great. Nice length, with a bit of a drop hem in the back to make it just long enough to stay where you put it.
By Filippo from Phoenix, AZ on 10/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cycling, Layering, Running, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for merino made in someplace other than China. When I saw that Icebreaker was mostly chinese now I decided to look for reasonable prices. I came across the Terramar. I was skeptical because I Terramar never fit me well but decided to give it a try. The top is awesome. It's everything merino should be and it fits very well. I didn't expect the cut to have any style but, honestly, I could wear this anywhere and no one would think it was a base layer. I got the long underwear bottoms and they'll be perfect for cycling in the cooler temps. And I just realized I got these at [...] for [$]

Inexplicable shrinkage after washing By another mother from Taos nm on 10/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Item came out of the wash severely wrinkled and shrunk -- even before drying. Must be some quality control issue. Has happened before, but not with every purchase of this item.
Good except for too big of a neck By OC1 Paddler from Portland, OR on 08/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like everything but the neck on this piece. It starts out a little too big and over several wearings gets even bigger. So it's definitely a layering piece and not something to wear by itself.
The price was good though for a wool piece and it is warm and does a great job of sucking up moisture. I wear it mostly under a drysuit for paddling or under a parka for skiing.
